This stunning wedding at Beckendorff Farms was filled with beauty and sentiment as Brittany and Cory honored each other and their family throughout the day. All of the different elements came together perfectly for a fun and beautiful celebration for one of the sweetest couples!

“Something old, something new…”
During Brittany’s bridal session, I learned about the special relationship she shared with her grandmother who recently passed away. Brittany wore her grandmother’s necklace in her bridal portraits taken several weeks prior. Though her presence was missed at the wedding, Brittany kept her grandmother’s spirit alive by pinning her pearl earrings to the wedding dress. This was an emotional moment that was special to photograph as Brittany and her mom worked together to pin the earrings.

A Father Daughter First Look
I could hardly hold back tears myself during Brittany’s first look with her dad; she has an incredible relationship with her parents and sibling. In case you are curious, this is what a proud family looks like.. it’s written all over their faces! Brittany’s mom and twin brother watched from afar as we all wiped tears away. Brittany’s beautiful dress was purchased at The Princess Bridal in Spring, Texas. Following their first look, Brittany and her family gathered together to pray over her future marriage. These are the moments I will never forget and feel honored to be part of!

The First Touch
Instead of a first look, Brittany and Cory chose to have a first touch and share private vows with each other. A first look is not for every couple! However, if you choose to not have a first look, I always recommend at least planning a first touch to spend a few minutes together before the day really gets going. The wedding day will go by faster than you expect. With so many loved ones present, you definitely will want to spend as much time with your guests as possible. On the other hand, this may mean less time with just the two of you. Carving out a few minutes before the ceremony for a first look or first touch allows you two to soak in the day, be present with each other, and let some of those nerves to settle before walking down the aisle.

Another few of my favorite photos from the spectacular Weiss wedding are shown below of Cory with his parents. I always plan a few moments for the bride and groom to spend time with their parents and siblings before the ceremony begins. It’s obviously a big day for the couple, but it’s just as big for mom and dad to see their son/daughter become a husband/wife. Again, you can see what proud parents they are as Cory prepares to say “I do.”

A family tradition carried on is for Dad to put a penny in his daughter’s shoe on her wedding day before walking down the aisle. Another sweet sentiment shared together!

Bride and Groom Portraits
We spent just a few minutes after the ceremony taking those just married portraits before kicking off the reception! As golden hour set in, we returned outside for the prettiest bride and groom portraits. Brittany and Cory were literally BEAMING with joy! We laughed, danced, and laughed a little more as we celebrated the newlyweds on their wedding day.

The Reception
The beautiful flowers and greenery by Striking Stems brought the reception space to life! The team was fabulous to work with and their work speaks for itself!

Every dance was sweet and emotional, but I think Brittany surprising her twin brother with a special dance was my favorite. He had no idea that she planned a dance with him; watching her wipe his tears away tugged at my heart.. there was not a dry eye in the room!

The bride and groom’s cakes by For Heaven’s Cake were a hit! Not only were they beautiful in design, but they tasted incredible, too!
